One other thing to know when reading this post is that we reference mats occasionally, but they aren't really mats. A lot of other products are designed to last for a long time, and while photo tiles can last for a few years, they probably won't last a lifetime like a good canvas can. They are also not canvases, so they aren't as long-term as other prints or canvases.
Once you get a photo printed on a photo tile, you can't change it. Even if the tiles come with frames so they look like normal picture frames, they aren't. Often the photo is printed directly on the tiles or boards, so you can't change out the photos. They are boards (usually made of lightweight foam core) that can stick on your wall.
